Temporarily Depopulate
This phrase is part of a recommendation by Gov. Brian Schweitzer that Yellowstone bison be checked for brucellosis and destroyed if infected. Strangely enough, they won’t be temporarily dead. Even repopulation from disease free offspring won’t stop re-infection from local elk feeding areas. They better hurry in any case, I’ve heard the Ruskies have a cure on the way.
