It seems the last few weeks have been a time of unraveling. Whether it be things surfacing in the open that had been forever rumored, or things allowed to take their course after endless argument; it’s a time of expended vitality and effort. Time maybe for a long breathe after many years of distraction in some cases, time maybe to be relieved that a thing, for good bad or indifferent, is over.
We will see a new pope soon and leave Terri Schiavo once and for all in peace. Mr. Michael? – well, Mr. Michael!
We are between shows I suppose and looking at the horizon for that new distraction that will soon replace the old. So we are not so astonished as we once were, maybe even a little callus, to shootings that once would have been in the news for weeks; perhaps better that they not be viewed as media opportunities. There is a lot of shooting going on that we aren’t hearing about and should be, we become so used to just accepting that.
I, for one, am just trying to reclaim my sense of priorities.
